We are planning to add a new attribute to an entity and the entity has about 250 million profiles. We are planning to use Bulk Update to add the new attribute. How long will it take for the Bulk Update utility to do this task?

Can Bulk Update utility be executed in a partitioned manner (similar to rebuild match table job) ?

Bulk update job will update  the same attribute value for all the records, not sure if that's your use case.
