  • 1.  RDM Export - "This type has no source values to export"

    Posted 12-16-2024 15:27

I want to export two of my RDM lookup types from the UI, but when I go to Export RDM Data, one of them is grayed out and it shows the message "This type has no source values to export".

It has multiple lookups for multiple source systems, probably over 100 canonical values. I don't understand what the message means?

    Hi Elias,

Can you please share more details on the data, the steps you performed and the error screenshot?

    Hello,

All I have done is gone into the Export functionality on the RDM and found the Lookup Type I wanted to export.

In that list, it's showing as grayed out and I am not available to select it for export. It also shows 0 values to the right, but I can see clearly when going into the table that it does have values. The Lookup Type is not new, so I cannot speak to how it was created, I was just trying to export it.

I have opened a support ticket for this and support has been able to replicate it in their environment. (https://wexinc.atlassian.net/browse/DAT-10135)

Here is an example of a Lookup Type (Countries) showing 0 values when in fact it has 248.

    Elias,

Normally, this option will be grayed out for export when there are no lookup values. I'm surprised to see it happening even for the countries. I tried it in one of the environments, and it seems to be working fine.

Please check if you can make the GET API call for the lookup values and review the response.
