    Hi all,

    we have several entity types connected with relationships, we don't use reference attributes. How can we search in the UI for relations? In "Advanced search" one have the possibility to connect different entity type queries with AND/OR etc. but unfortunately the relation is ignored there.  Could you please give us a use case where this query connection is useful?

    You're correct in observing that Reltio's Advanced Search UI does not currently support filtering based on relationships between entities. This limitation means that while you can construct complex queries using attributes and logical operators (AND, OR, etc.), you cannot directly include relationship criteria in these searches.

    To search for entities based on their relationships, you can utilise Reltio's API capabilities:

    1. Search Connections API: This API allows you to search for entities using attributes or crosswalk IDs and retrieve these entities along with their relationships. For example, you can search for persons using attributes and retrieve the corresponding agreement and household details for each person in a single API call. - Link for more info

    2. Relations Search API: This API enables you to search for relationships by specifying start and/or end objects, attribute values, tags, and types. For instance, you can find active relations by a specific date or filter by relationship type. - Link for more info

    While Advanced Search doesn't support relationship-based queries, it remains valuable for attribute-based searches. For example:

    • Marketing Campaigns: Identify individuals aged between 35 and 65 living in California with an email address to target for a specific promotion. 
    • Data Quality Checks: Find profiles with missing or pinned attributes to assess data completeness and accuracy.
