  • 1.  Bad Request Error When Filtering Activity Log by Date, User, and Merge Typ

I encountered an issue while using the Activity Log in the Reltio platform. I applied filters for:

    • Date range
    • User
    • Profiles manually merged

When I applied these filters, I received a "Bad Request" error. I'm using the UI (not the API), and I'd like to understand what might be causing this. Has anyone else experienced this issue, or is there guidance on filter limitations or known issues with this functionality?

I appreciate any insights. Thank you in advance, and apologies for the typo in the subject line. *Merge Type instead of Merge Typ, but I was unable to edit the Subject after posting.

    Hi Denise,

This isn't an expected behavior from the UI. Can you please capture the API request that the UI invokes when you filter on the activity logs and share it for further investigation? I am happy to take the first look and would direct you to the appropriate channel thereafter.

The following are the steps for capturing API requests from the browser's developer tools:

    • Open Browser Developer Tools:
      • In most browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge), press F12 or Ctrl+Shift+I (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Opt+I (Mac).
    • Navigate to the Network Tab:
      • Within the Developer Tools, locate and select the "Network" tab. This tab displays all network requests made by the browser.
    • Initiate Reltio Actions in the Browser:
      • Perform the actions within the Reltio application in your browser that you want to capture the API calls for (e.g., filtering the activity logs through the UI).
    • Inspect Captured API Calls:
      • As you perform actions, new requests will appear in the Network tab.
      • Click on a specific Reltio API request to view its details, including:
        • Headers: Request and response headers.
        • Payload/Request Body: The data sent to the Reltio API.
        • Response: The data returned by the Reltio API.
        • Timing: Information about the request's duration.
