We have two merged records from one entity and we unmerge them.

In a second  entity, we have records that have automerged based on a  match rule that uses a reference attribute to the first entity (and other criteria).

The records in the second entity did not automatically unmerge when the records in the first entity unmerged.

Is this expected behavior?

Hi Max,

Yes, that is expected behavior.  Reltio 'never' unmerges an record automatically.  I realize, as soon as I wrote that using 'never' is a bad idea.  But I can't think of a scenario where unmerge happens automatically.

Without further context and/or examples provided it is hard to determine the best approach to resolve your issue. But if I understand you correctly you might want to look into the other option for unmerging that Reltio offers which is tree unmerge. It has saved me several times in the past when an unwanted merges took place. Hope this works out for you as well!
