1. I have an attribute called AttributeA which should be populated based on lookupcode assigned to another attribute AttributeB(I dont want to lookups of AttributeB to be directly used by AttributeA). Or,
2. The value of AttributeA should be using the value of AttributeB as its lookup.
As you said, if this is achievable, I've not used this parent-dependent lookup so far. Do you mind sharing a piece of sample config on how it can be done?

Yes this can be achievable.
First you need to configure Dependent Lookup in L3 Config and Parent Lookup in RDM.
