In the registry style of MDM, the records (profiles) aren't consolidated in the MDM hub, rather the duplicate records are linked. Also, the actual master attributes still reside in the source systems; only those attributes are brought into MDM that are required for identification and matching.
I can think of different ways to achieve this in Reltio:
- Ingest the source profiles with the minimum required attributes into Reltio. Match them in Reltio using the standard match rules, but do not consolidate them (suspect matches). The source systems can query Reltio for any profile and its duplicates via the REST APIs.
- Use the newly released segmented grouping feature that can link the duplicate records together without merging them.
