  • 1.  RDM Multiple Canonical Values

    In RDM can I have a Canonical value be different for the same code provided by two different source systems, for example I have Source System X with code 'A' that means Active and Source System Y with code 'A' that means Terminated. I want the Canonical value returned based on Source System. So when the code A is supplied for Source System Y then I want Terminated returned and when Source System X supplies code A then I want Active returned.  Is this possible and if so how?

    Hi JP,

    I think you might be misunderstanding the word 'canonical'.  It means the value for the lookup independent of the source.  In your example above, you might configure 01 to be terminated and 02 to be active as your canonical values.  In the row for 01 under source system Y you will input the value 'A'.  For row 02 in this example, under the column for source system X, you will also find an 'A'

    Canonical Source X Source Y
    02 A
    01 A

    When you call the Reltio API giving the source and canonical, it will return the value in the box.

    Thanks @Gino Fortunato, My description/wording may not have been correct. I configured the RDM Type exactly as you have described based on the documentation and help from Support, unfortunately it isn't working as advertised. 

    UPDATE: Long story short, I had to force a data reload for the corrected RDM setup to work. We are now good.
