  • 1.  Restrict Approvers for OOTB DCR Based on Entity

    In OOTB DCR workflow, I want to restrict the approver on the basis of the entity for which it is being created.

    I have updated the metadata

    but still the approval request is being assigned to the other approvers mentioned in the Group candidate of workflow as well.

    Hi Ibneet,

    Can you please share the accessTypes defined for the user task in your BPMN? 

    Ideally, the user(s) from the assignment pool should be part of the candidate group and also should have the permissions  defined in the accessTypes configuration

    Hi Ibneet,

    The users cannot approve a DCR user task with just ACCEPT_CHANGE_REQUEST permission unless the applyDcrWithoutPermissions flag is set to true

    Hi Ibneet,

    Am I right that you have a set of data stewards with the role ROLE_REVIEWER but want to distribute all tasks among them based on entity type and configured metadata security? In the meantime, you can leverage the examine API that, possibly, would help to configure the proper settings to achieve the goal.
