Hi Team,

In our MDM setup, there is no role that has direct create/update access to data in Reltio.

DS users can only propose changes via DCR which must be approved by a peer DS user.

However, since the requestor also belongs to the same approver role, they can potentially assign it to themselves. Can this restricted using customization in DCR workflow?

If I understood your requirement, all DS user has same role and any DS can create a DCR which should be reviewed by peer DS. Easiest way to achieve this would be to separate the DS users who approve and review -assign dedicated role.
If DS users can't be categorized in different groups then, you need to customize the JAVA classes of DCR workflow. You can identify the "assignee "and "Created BY" in the JAVA classes and random assign DCR to another DS having designated role.
