We have a concern about sub optimal match rules being bypassed in production after release 2021.3 goes into production.

Can you please confirm how we can test this in Preview to ensure we avoid any match rules from being bypassed due to suboptimal performance once 2021.3 goes live?

Hi Pete,

I want to ensure you that you will not see any disruption in production because of this feature. You will have an option to quickly re-enable the bypassed rule if you want to do so. The rules that are bypassed are the ones that would have caused performance issues in your entire matching process so by proactively bypassing the suboptimal match rule, we are trying to reduce the disruption in your matching process.

We look for rules that cause an excessive number of over-collision tokens and an excessive number of tokens for entities. To test this feature you can try to load a large number of records that will cause the entities to share the same token. The easiest way to do this is to load the exact same record more than say 300 times and ensure that you do not have any automatic rule to merge them.
