Can Reltio Integration Hub read data from S3, do some transformation, and then store the results back in S3? Or do you need to have at least either the source or the target to be Reltio?

    Hi Nikhil,

RIH is just another Integration tool and we can utilize for custom task as you mentioned.

yes, we can get data from s3 and transform in RIH and upload back to S3 without  any Reltio connector in place.

You can actually make use of available connectors depending on your use case.

S3 supports streaming of high volumes but please make note of connectors you are using as heavy volumes might cause an issue while transformation.

Hi Nikhil, per your other question about delta detection, bear in mind that Reltio must be the source or target in a recipe in order to stay in compliance with RIH usage.   S3 can be a source and Reltio the target or Reltio the source and S3 the target but if you go from S3 (bucket A for example) to S3 (bucket B), then that is not allowed.

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

    Hi @Guy Vorster

Thanks for letting us know that Reltio should either be Source/Target in Every recipe.

Could you please provide us with documentation links supporting your statement as this would be a key factor when Customers considering other Integration Tools vs RIH.

    Hi Sheshadri

If you look here in the doc portal and specifically within the grey box at the top of the page you will see this statement about RIH:

"Note: Reltio Connector must be either a source or a destination or part of an intermediate step in each recipe that you create using the Reltio Integration Hub."

    Hi @Guy Vorster ,

We have a bit different implementation, All our Reltio API's are proxied using Mulesoft and any integration with Reltio happens via Mule API. In this case if I need to read from S3 and invoke Mule API's is it allowed ? Or should we always have Reltio invoked directly ?

No you're all good if using Reltio via Mulesoft; my statement was specifically about the use of RIH (Reltio Integration Hub) recipes and that the Reltio connector must be involved in each recipe using RIH.
