Hi there,

If I alter an automated match rule in my DEV tenant, what will happen?

For example, let's say I have a rule such as AutoMatch : Fuzzy(FirstName, LastName) & Exact(Phone OR Email) . If I were to update this rule to Exact(FirstName, LastName) & Exact(Phone OR Email), what would happen?

Would values that were previously merged by this rule suddenly unmerge, or would they remain merged? 

Changes to auto match rule doesn't change the state of already merged records, they would remain merged. Also as a best practice after changing any match rule user should execute Rebuild Match Table task to ensure effectiveness for future merges.
