  • 1.  Splitting DNB data across hierarchies

    Posted 3 days ago

    Hello, all

For various internal reasons, we're looking to see if it's possible to set up the DNB mapping so that we have the data split / duplicated across different entity types. Our goal would be the following

    1. From an organization profile, hit the "Get Company Info" button
    2. Have it enrich that organization with the DNB profile details
    3. Also have it create a second entity in a different entity type, call it "Legal Orgs" with the same DNB profile details and the hierarchy data, as well as any linked orgs.

So if I'm on a profile that reads "Alphabet Inc", I want it to enrich that profile with the relevant data, and then create 3 new "Legal Orgs" entities: Alphabet, Google, and Waze, the appropriate relationships between them, all with only the DNB data.

Is this possible? How would I go about doing this?

    Hi Trevor,

I think it should be possible by customizing the connector JOLT mappings or recipes (if you are using RIH-based connector)

That sounds promising. Would you be able to provide a simple example of what such a Jolt transformation might look like? Even something simple like showing how to map the organization name to two different entities would give me something to move forward with.

Based on my experience, having same DUNS across entity types via JOLT transformation results in hierarchy across the entity types and results. That's the reason we moved to D&B Data Blocks connector, we had to replicate certain recipes to make it work.
