Hello,

Position of a node(profile/record) in hierarchy is by default ordered in ascending order.

If we want to keep the records in a custom order, below are questions we have:

1. Using drag and drop option in edit /suggest mode we can move the nodes, but can they preserve a custom order after save other than ascending/descending order?
2. We would like to know if we can bring governance(requestor - approver) workflow in this process of custom positioning as well? If so how.

The ascending seems to be the default sort.  In the UI Builder, there is a choice to make it Ascending or Descending.  I don't see a way around it.  Please file a ticket for a definitive answer, but it may require an enhancement

Yes, submitted a ticket and got response that currently only asc /desc possible. But wanted to understand below additionally -

• if user can provide a custom order for the nodes created/updated
•  if a user edits(drag and drop)the position of a child node with in a current parent or move to next parent - will there a workflow can be triggered?
