People like Angela Wawrzaszek (pronounced War-zak) are responsible for making Reltio the industry-leading solution it is today.
Angela is an MDM and data governance manager at Hillrom, a medical technology innovator with more than a century of experience improving patient care. She comes from an IT background, starting as a programmer and moving to a supervisory role in a small IT division before moving to data governance and management in 2014.
When Angela joined Hillrom in 2017, the company had just begun consolidating its array of siloed customer databases in order to achieve a single, coherent point of truth for customer metrics.
This meant implementing technology to support business users in multiple areas, including:

If Angela could go back in time and give herself advice when she was just starting out, she would tell herself not to underestimate the time and resources needed to arrive at Ground Zero for clean data. It's easy to be overly optimistic about how much effort it takes to curate data effectively, but experience tells another story.
Angela is now preparing for retirement, and looking forward to spending more time hiking, golfing, and reading. She mentions two valuable tricks for Reltio users to learn early and use often:
- In-File Search. This handy function allows the business to search for very specific lists of customers, reducing the need for SQL queries and reports.
- Hierarchy Relationships. Third-party vendors that provide hierarchy information enable Reltio users to quickly update thousands of shifting relationships in a timely manner. This turns a time-consuming manual process into a quick and simple one.
