  • 1.  Data Sync Pipeline vs Reindex Job in Reltio

    Hi All,
    We have a few technical queries around the Data Sync Pipeline in Reltio (Regarding Databricks connector) and would appreciate your inputs.
     
    1. What runs behind the Data Sync Pipeline - is it a reindex job internally?
    2. If yes, what is the difference between the Data Sync Pipeline job and a standard Reindex job?
    3. If we trigger a reindex through the individual entity Data Sync Pipeline, will it generate multiple change events that get pushed to the queues (e.g. SNS/SQS)?
     
    This will help us understand the downstream impact before we proceed with any reindex activity on our tenants.

    Hello Chetan,

    Yes, syncToDataPipeline does trigger reindex job internally but it sends events exclusively to the analytics outbound i.e. the outbound data pipelines and outbound data shares, with the only exception being the "Grouping service".
