Hi Team,

Is it possible to trigger the workflow only when the Business Entity – Materialistic field is changed through a DCR? We do not want the workflow to be triggered when the Non-Materialistic field is changed through a DCR.

If this is possible, can it be achieved using an out-of-the-box (OOB) workflow, or would we need to configure a custom workflow for this use case?
Please let us know if anyone has encountered a similar scenario.

I believe your use case involve changes via UI. This would require workflow customization where for a configurable set of fields (in the BPMN file) DCR should be triggered and rest should be auto approved.

Hi Ashish,

Thanks for your response. The updates is through API call from client tool. so do we need to customize the oob DCR workflow to add logic to identify the data changes in the API call whether its for material field or non-material field and then accordingly do we need to create task or directly apply the changes to the reltio profile.
