Hello,
If we have configured 4 rules in our L3 configuration in one matchgroups as -
Match Rule 1 -- Exact and auto
Match Rule 2 -- Fuzzy and auto
Match Rule 3-- Exact and suspect
Match Rule 4 -- Fuzzy and suspect

Would these rules be executed sequentially or in parallel manner? Is there a way to se these as how they should be executed ?

As far as my understanding There is no sequence and neither can be controlled. All rule are executed. You can tell on Auto but in Suspect if a pair of profile meets both Match Rule 3 and match Rule 4 it will tell that in Potentail match rule.

Hi Anuja, the match rules are executed by parallel processes, and there's no way to tell in which order they get executed. Several could be executed serially on the same thread, or they could be executed in parallel on separate threads in no specific order. This is one of the reasons that all match rules are evaluated, regardless if a match has already been triggered for the record somewhere else.  You an see this when a Potential Match triggers several match rules:

This is one of the ways you can see that you may have more match rules than you need.

@Terence Kirk We have the same question/problem as well. Since we have a unique identifier match rule it will be nice to exclude those records from participating in matching once they match based on that exact rule.

Perhaps considering leveraging a negative rule with a notExactSame comparison operator.
