  • 1.  RDM Lookup - Event triggering on Cache refresh

    Posted 05-12-2021 02:27
We are able to auto-refresh the existing records in MDM to the updated canonical RDM value by updating the mapping in Reltio RDM. However, no activity log/event is generated for this cache refresh. Is this correct understanding?
Is there any way to have the event generated for this value update?
Example - Say Email Type previously was 'Other' is now needs to be  'Alternate'. Achieved via changing RDM lookup value, however, the change in the 'Value' does not create any activity log or event.

    Hello Samriddhi,

Thank you for posting this question related to MDM-RDM integration. This is an interesting question, the reason an event was not generated is that the "raw value" for the attribute was not changed, only the mapping was changed. MDM always keeps the raw value in its datastore and does mapping lookup on the fly with RDM when there is a GET or Export triggered to fetch entity profile. However, we do understand the need here to generate an event when the underlying RDM mapping is changed. I recommend reaching out to the CSM and logging an RFE for this request.
