Hi everyone,

We have a need for a custom noise dictionary but I can't find any details as to how to implement this in the documentation. I can only find how the noise dictionary is set up in the L3 configuration. So here are my questions:

  • Where do we put this noise dictionary text file?
  • How should the syntax in the file look like?
  • Could anyone provide me with an example?
Thanks in advance!

@Atle Dybaa, thanks for the post. Take a look at some of the documentation below. I'm hoping this helps. If not, let me know and I will find someone to help and post here.

  1. https://docs.reltio.com/matchmerge/cleanser.html - A custom noise dictionary text file would probably go into a custom comparator class. Create a custom comparator class and specify the full path and filename of the file, in the proper parameter field of the custom class.
  2. https://docs.reltio.com/matchmerge/noiseremoval.html  - Syntax is also specified in the same link. Simple text file. After creating the text file, they can submit it to Reltio Support and get the file path or the location of the noise dictionary, which can be used in the comparator class.
  3. https://docs.reltio.com/matchmerge/comparatorclass.html  - See CustomComparator details.
  4. Example - this might help: https://docs.reltio.com/matchmerge/extwocustomcomp.html

Hello Atle,

For the Noise dictionary, you will have to create a file with Noise words and get it on Reltio S3 via Support ticket.

Sample Noise dictionary File on S3

Then you can refer to the dictionary in your Match rule.

I hope the information above helps you.

Thanks,
Deepak
