If we had, for example, a change in address and we wanted to update some of our backend systems through Kafka, I'm assuming we could do the same thing. We could populate the topic from events that are generated in Reltio - is this assumption correct? #Reltiointegrationhub #Kafka

I don't know whether Reltio Integration Hub should be the first option in that case. You should look at, is there a Kafka connector available today? And there are - which can pick up the events that Reltio publishes into the queue, into an AWS SQS queue, as an example, and then replicate that into Kafka. Integration hub may be able to help there. Technically, it has the capabilities, but there may be simpler options where you can connect Kafka directly to your message queue without using integration hub in the middle as a layer.

Adding to Venki's idea, since you originally said, "update some of our backend systems.." you might also think about using SNS to fan out the publishing of the event.
