Is there any configuration available that would permit a pinned attribute value to remain after the associated crosswalk has a deleteDate added?

    Use case:
            1) Merged profile with all crosswalks being active
            2) Thru Hub manually pin a specific attribute value from a given crosswalk
            3) Add a deleteDate to the crosswalk that had the pinned attribute

Current behavior: The ov which was showing the pinned value after step 2 above no has no ov value.

I'm confused Mark. When a crosswalk gains a deleteDate, it's value no longer participates in the OV calculation, and that includes any pinned value the crosswalk owns. And it seems you're observing that behavior. Now that the crosswalk has a deleteDate, you likely have other crosswalks in the entity for that attribute that will continue to contribute to the OV. (If not, haha, why would've it been necessary to use the pin in the first place to promote it above all other values?)

    Hi Curt,

I think Mark wants to put delete dates to this one crosswalk of the merged profile . The crosswalk that we wants to soft delete has the value that is currently pinned and thus Ov =True .  But , upon populating the delete date he no longer sees the OV value  as the pinned value goes away . I think this is default behavior and you have explained it above . The other active crosswalks contributing to the attribute array must come into play and based on the survivorship rule decide on OV .

I see, makes sense. If the pinned value continues to be important, then perhaps write a process that checks the crosswalk values prior to adding a deleteDate to the crosswalk. If there are any pinned values, then post those values to the Reltio crosswalk (which will likely never be deleted) and pin them there. Then add the deleteDate to the other crosswalk.

    Curt,

Appreciate the reponse, devil is always in the details, but this looks like a good approach to handling this.

Manish -- appreciate earlier clarification on the ask.

    Thanks,

    Mark
