The trigger on when to launch the workflow will need to come from monitoring an event queue OR by having an attribute to track the profile status, that you will need to maintain manually. For example you can have a process search for records where the attribute is missing and then start the workflow and populate the attribute with a value indicating the workflow has been launched to prevent it from being launched again. You can then decide if you want to change the value after the workflow completes. There are a few ways to do this, we can review if you like.
