Currently RDM does not have import option, Business users / Data Stewards will be benefited if Reltio provides an option to import / load the lookup mapping for a given set of sources or for all sources for a given lookup type.
As we do not have this option, we need some technical person to use the API and load 100 / 200 Lookup mappings per API call. (or) user has to add one by one in the RDM UI which is more time consuming and tedious process. Moreover if we already have mapping for all source system and if we want to add mapping for one additional source, currently it is not possible even via API. We need to pass the canonical Value along with all source mapping.
It is time-consuming when we want to onboard new sources and add lookup for various number of lookup attributes.
Hi SanthoshI feel import functionality for RDM is much needed and have VOTED for the Idea. :)Additionally, we can also use RDM JSON Generation to generate json from a csv file (with proper mappings) consisting of lookups and then load the generated json using RDM Dataloader This reduces manual effort. Also, you can explore other Reltio Utilities here: https://docs.reltio.com/en/explore/get-going-with-apis-and-rocs-utilities/reltio-open-collaboration-system-rocs-utilities
Can't argue with you here. This is definitely overdue.
I agree wholeheartedly. We have about 7 Active Sources and about 82 Lookup Types. Fun times!
Great Idea. This is definitely useful.
Voted for this, completely agree
We had to work with a similar situation and we ended up using a RDM export and merge with RDM json generated for new source system and joined them together in python.
