Snehil is correct, and I'd like to expand a bit on his answer.
Match rules and the end date are not really related. If two entities are merged, logically relationships that they had point to the same entity as they did before the merge. But now those two entities are treated as if it is the same one because of the merge. I say this because if you 'unmerge' the two entities, the relationships that the two separate entities have are still there.
Because of the above, the relationships are not end dated and there is no need to take care of the relationships in the match rule design. This is all handled for you by Reltio.
